Four Secondary 3 cadets participated in the West Sector Camp during March. Throughout the camp, they learnt basic leadership skills and as well as other activities such as rescue. Attendance taking (muster parade) was conducted. Some of them became the ICs and the experience taught them how to be confident leaders. In one of the CD skills challenge, Raihan and Robina had to lay under the table and wait for Hanafi and Valerie to rescue them. Although they didn't manage to complete it (Raihan and Hanafi made it out in time whereas Robina and Valerie didn't), it was still a good try! They were given a penalty (+ 10 secs to our total time). Overall the CD Skills Challenge helped them recap on topics that they had learned since Secondary 1. Even though some of them felt like they were a burden to the rest of their teammates, they were still continuously supportive and eventually they managed to win a prize! They felt united as they could remember back on when they learned those skills during Secondary 1. Final X was when Robina had to fall out because she bruised her knee and had to sit at the sick bay to wait for everyone to finish. Besides that, the final x also challenged them physically and mentally as they were chosen to be in the rescue team and some in the medic team. They had to crawl the whole way and go through obstacles as if it was a real life situation and they also had to lay down with obstacles over them as casualties.
